Free schema markup.
Forever. For everyone.
Generate schema for your website without paying for a subscription. A free Baseline Labs account also keeps markup current on five pages of one domain, with optional metadata corrections and basic traffic tracking.
No card needed. You can try the schema generator without an account.
Your free AI visibility toolkit
We think a business should be able to tell search engines what it does without buying another software subscription. That is why MarkupSchema is free forever. Paste in your domain and it generates structured data from the information on your website, ready for you to review.
The free plan covers upkeep too. Once your site is connected, you can maintain its markup and measure the traffic reaching it.
Schema generation Free
Generate JSON-LD, the code used to add structured data to a webpage. Review and export it without an account. Daily usage limits apply.
Rolling Schema Free
Keep schema current on five pages of one domain, with a supported connection to deliver and verify the markup.
Rolling Metadata Free
Correct outdated facts in existing titles and descriptions on your connected Rolling Schema pages. You can also enable generation of missing descriptions. Both options are yours to switch on.
Traffic tracking Free
See pageviews, referrers and attributable AI visits. Add a supported server-side connection to monitor bot requests.
Visibility reports Free allowance
Get a starter visibility snapshot during onboarding, then explore Google organic, Gemini and Google AI Mode with 500 credits topped up monthly. Bigger reports cost more credits, so the allowance will not cover every report every month. Traffic tracking is separate from these credit-based checks.
Tell search engines which facts belong to your business
Take a repair shop. Its webpage might include an address, opening hours and a booking link. Schema labels those facts and connects them to the same business. The labels come from Schema.org, a shared vocabulary that includes types such as LocalBusiness.
Google's structured-data guidance explains that markup helps it understand page content and can make eligible pages appear with richer search features. Correct implementation matters: Google's quality rules require markup to reflect visible, relevant content. A valid block is not a promise of a rich result.
Review the output before installing it. If your CMS or plugin already supplies schema, check what is there and avoid conflicting descriptions of the same business. Test supported Google features with the Rich Results Test; use the Schema.org validator to inspect the broader vocabulary.
Your opening hours changed. Update the markup too.
Suppose the repair shop starts staying open an hour later on Mondays. You edit the page, but its schema and search description still carry the old closing time. Now the website gives two different answers.
Rolling Schema refreshes the markup from the connected page. If you enable Rolling Metadata, it can correct that same outdated time in the existing description. It uses the page as evidence and preserves the wording around the changed fact.
You can separately enable generation of missing descriptions. Both metadata options start switched off.

Rolling Schema and optional metadata maintenance are included on one domain.
Rolling Metadata corrects facts in existing titles; it does not generate replacement titles. Search engines still choose what appears in results: Google may use your description or select text from the page for a search snippet.
See which AI tools send people to your site
Once your pages are set up, tracking shows where visitors come from. You can inspect our own results in the public report below. From 1 to 30 September 2026, Baseline Labs recorded 46 AI-attributed pageviews: 29 from ChatGPT, 13 from Gemini and 4 from Perplexity.
Source: Baseline Labs' public traffic report for September 2026, captured 1 October 2026. First-party pageviews classified from referrer evidence; counts are visits to pages, not unique people or citations.
Show the data
| Referring AI service | AI-attributed pageviews |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT | 29 |
| Gemini | 13 |
| Perplexity | 4 |
These counts show what the tracker can identify. They cannot establish whether schema caused the visits. AI apps can omit referral information, leaving some visits unattributed; bear that in mind when you compare AI referral traffic by engine.
Visits, bot requests and visibility are different measures
Traffic tracking records visits and referrer information. Bot monitoring records crawler requests seen by a supported server-side connection; a bot visit does not mean it cited you. Visibility reports check selected searches or questions for your presence. Keep these measures separate when judging progress.
Where schema fits in AI visibility
Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode need no special schema. Markup alone cannot guarantee a mention, citation or ranking. Our review of what gets you cited in AI answers covers the wider evidence.
Stay on the free plan for as long as it meets your needs. Paid plans add capacity and deeper analysis.
Start with the pages your customers use
For a small service business, your homepage, main service and contact page are sensible first choices. Generate their schema, review the facts and test the output. Connect your site to a free account when you want ongoing maintenance for up to five pages.
You can use the generator on its own, or sign up for the free toolkit. Neither needs a card.
