What it measures

Backlinks only knows about links our own crawler has actually visited and parsed — it's not a comprehensive web-wide index the way a dedicated backlink tool is. Coverage grows as Baseline Labs crawls more of the web through the scans customers run across the platform, so a domain that's been crawled more will show more links than one that hasn't. What you do see is real: every link listed is one we fetched and read ourselves, not an estimate. Pair it with Rankings to see which of your pages are converting that link equity into actual Google positions.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these backlinks come from?
Every page our crawler fetches — across all Baseline Labs products, not just backlink lookups — has its outbound links extracted and stored. Your domain's inbound links accumulate as other crawled pages happen to link to you.
Is this a complete list of every link to my site?
No. Coverage depends on what our crawler has visited, so it will never be as exhaustive as a dedicated web-wide backlink index. Every link shown is one we've verified by actually parsing the source page, though — nothing here is guessed.
What's the difference between "follow" and the rest?
The rel value reflects the literal HTML attribute on the link tag. No rel attribute is treated as follow; nofollow, sponsored and UGC values are tallied separately in your stats.
What does the link graph show?
A force-directed map of the domains linking to you (1 step) and, optionally, the domains linking to those (2 steps) — built from the same underlying link data as the stats above.
Can I see which specific page is doing the linking?
Yes — the inbound backlinks table lists every individual link with its exact source URL, anchor text, follow/nofollow status and when it was first and last seen.
