Visibility Scanner

Find out who AI search recommends, and whether it's you

A business can rank #1 on Google and never get named by ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity. Visibility Scanner runs the questions your customers actually ask across every major AI engine and shows who gets recommended, who gets left out, and exactly where you stand.

What it checks

One real buyer question, two scoreboards, and where a domain actually lands.

01 - The questions your buyers really type
Irish home insurance buyer queries 6 questions - 3 engines - 18 checks per run
  • Best home insurance Ireland
  • cheapest home insurance Ireland
  • home insurance quotes Ireland
  • best home insurance providers Ireland
  • house insurance Ireland
  • home insurance for first time buyers Ireland
02 - One question, answered two ways
Google organic A ranking

  2. 4zurich.ie
  3. 5aviva.ie
  4. 7aig.ie
  5. 8outsurance.ie
  6. 9allianz.ieTracked domain
+1 more organic result captured

Links, in order, with Google's own slot numbers. The gaps are ads and SERP features the audit does not count, so the tracked domain sits at slot 9 but is the 6th of the 7 organic results captured. That 6 is what the matrix below records.

ChatGPT answer A recommendation
Chill offers home insurance with a €65 discount when purchased online [1]. Zurich provides up to 31% off for online quotes, making it a competitive choice [2]. Additionally, Aviva offers a 20% discount for online purchases and potential further savings for claim-free customers [3].
1 chill.ie 2 zurich.ie 3 aviva.ie allianz.ie, not named

No list, no page two. Three brands are recommended by name and the answer stops there. We read the answer text, log every brand it names, and check whether the tracked domain is one of them.

Same question, same 33-second run. Google returns allianz.ie on page one. ChatGPT names Chill, Zurich and Aviva, and never mentions it. Two scoreboards that are under no obligation to agree - and increasingly, only one of them is the one the buyer reads.

Run 01 - 24 Aug42.2 Run 02 Run 03

One run is a snapshot: the run above scored 42.2. Run the same template again next week and every run lines up on one page, so a change you shipped either moved the number or it did not.

Not a mock-up. Every question, domain, number and quoted sentence above is read from the live report embedded further down this page: Irish home insurance buyer queries, run on 24 August 2026 against Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity. 18 checks, 16 completed, 2 failed at the engine, which is why two cells read N/A. Your own template can run all seven engines.

What you'll get

How it works

1

Save a template

List the search queries and buyer questions you want tracked. Keep the template and reuse it every time you scan - that's what makes the trend comparable run to run.

2

We query seven engines in parallel

Every query in the template runs against Google organic search, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek.

3

We check each answer for your domain

Each result is scored per engine, per query: whether your domain ranks, gets cited, or doesn't appear at all.

4

Trends build automatically

Run the same template again next week or next month - the template's overview page lines every run up so you can see whether your position is moving, not just a single snapshot.

Frequently asked questions

Which search engines does this actually cover?
Seven, in every run: Google organic search, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek.
If I already rank #1 on Google, do I need this?
That's exactly why we run both. Classic Google search and AI answer engines frequently disagree on who gets named - a #1 organic ranking doesn't guarantee ChatGPT or Perplexity mention you at all.
Do I write the queries, or do you generate them?
Each template is a saved list of your own search queries and questions. You keep it once and reuse it every time you run the scan, so results stay comparable over time.
How do you work out my "position" in a ChatGPT or Perplexity answer?
We check the actual text answer the engine returns for a mention or citation of your domain, then log whether and where it appears, separately from your classic Google rank.
Can I see whether I'm improving over time?
Yes. Every run of a template is stored, and the template's overview page lines every run up so you can see movement, not just one snapshot. It's the same data behind Citation Sources and your dashboard's AI Visibility Score.
